The historic Florida Gymnasium provides the perfect location for any organization’s event—whether academic, athletic, or even charitable in nature. Recent events held in the gym include the following: seminars, lectures, luncheons, exhibitions, orientation programs, award ceremonies, student group meetings, academic competitions, holiday parties, and benefit dinners; basketball, volleyball, dodge ball, and ping-pong tournaments; Zumba exercise and dance marathons. Chairs, tables (rectangle or round), staging, audio/video equipment, and other items are available to rent, making the planning and preparation for your event seamless.

General rules, rental rates, and available rental items are also listed on the web page. Keep in mind that events are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis: the earlier you submit the form, the better your chance of securing the gym on your preferred date.

Harn Museum of Art Rental Information
Classic Fare Catering manages all event catering at the Harn Museum.
The Keene Faculty Center (103 Dauer Hall) rents for $100 for College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) faculty and $200 for non-CLAS faculty. Student groups cannot use this room. No furniture can be moved. Cleanup is the renter’s responsibility.

About Pugh Hall.
The Straughn IFAS Extension Professional Development Center aims to provide outstanding venue for workshops, trainings and meetings but is also available for other types of events. The center consists of a large, covered outdoor pavilion and a large ballroom which can seat up to 300 people or be divided with one or two air walls to create up to three separate meeting spaces. Each room includes state of the art, built-in audio visual equipment.

About the UF Foundation.
Individuals/groups that reserve Room 1A are responsible for the following:
- Arranging furniture in format desired (currently arranged in lecture style seating)
- Arranging desired catering (no specific catering service has to be used).
- Cleaning the room
- wiping down all tables, if used (cleaning supplies provided)
- removing & properly disposing of all trash to dumpsters (trash bags provided - dumpster located outside of Smathers Library in the Library West Service Drive)
- vacuuming any areas of the room that require attention (vacuum cleaner provided)
- Returning furniture (tables & chairs) to original format (lecture style seating-floor diagram available on podium)
- Provide additional seating if event attendance exceeds 126 people. Per fire code 304 individuals are allowed in the room at one time; however, there is only enough seating for 126 individuals. There are 42 tables (seat 3 ea) (size 2ft x 6ft).
- The room is equipped with a stationary podium, two ceiling mounted projectors/projections screens and two wall-mounted viewing screens (one behind the podium and one on the wall in front of/across from the podium.
- The rental fee is $200 per day for UF affiliated departments/groups/organizations and $300 for non UF affiliated entities. There is an additional $75 fee if you require AV technology beyond use of the podium microphone. A $14 per hour security fee will also be incurred if the event is held when Smathers Library is normally closed. There is an additional 30 minute charge for security once the event ends to allow security to ensure the building is vacant. Security is arranged by Library Administration and is required, not optional.
