Dr. Marta Wayne
Associate Provost and Dean of the International Center
Dr. Marta Wayne is Associate Provost and Dean of the International Center. Dr. Wayne is a professor of Biology, specializing in the evolution & ecology of infectious disease and evolutionary genetics. A faculty member in the UF College of Liberal Arts and Sciences since 1998, Wayne was chair of the Department of Biology from 2014-2021. She is also an affiliate faculty member in the Center for Latin American Studies and the Center for Gender, Sexualities and Women’s Studies. Chris J. Hass is a Professor of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology in the College of Health and Human Performance. He joined the Provost’s office in 2018. He is a graduate of the University of Florida (M.S. and Ph.D.) and prior to returning to UF in 2006, he held academic positions at Columbia University and Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Cheryl Gater
Associate Provost and Director
As Associate Provost and Director, Cheryl is responsible for additions, modifications, terminations of the university's academic degree programs and is the liaison to the Board of Governors on such matters. Additionally, she is the institutional liaison for the university's accreditor, SACSCOC. Cheryl has been with the University of Florida since 1999. She earned her B.A. in Business Administration and M.A. in International Business from UF, and her Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Wilmington University.

Mr. Ron Anderson
University Ombuds
Mr. Anderson serves as a resource and designated neutral party for students, faculty and staff who may have a university related concern or problem. Such problems may be related to grades, difference of opinion with instructors or co-workers, interpretation of university policies, or other administrative issues that may be of concern. The Ombuds works with staff, faculty and students to interpret university policy, and help identify options and strategies for resolving issues. Additionally, Mr. Anderson serves as liaison between students and departments, colleges, program areas or administration and as adviser to the provost for all matters relating to student concerns and serves on various committees and councils related to student matters.
