Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Faculty Career Flexibility Accelerator Plan
This page provides access to The Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Faculty Career Flexibility document. In accordance with the Sloan Award guidelines, the plan proposes methods to achieve “measurable, positive outcomes” that meet identified goals in each of the following areas:
- Creating new career flexibility policies and programs;
- Expanding and improving current policies and programs;
- Increasing the number of faculty using these policies and programs; and
- Widening acceptance of career flexibility within the university community, including by faculty.
The document you will read is the product of collaborative efforts made by a faculty committee charged to lay the groundwork for a much broader discussion which will intensify throughout the fall of 2006. During that conversation the Associate Provost will build additional communication venues that allow stakeholders, including UF Faculty Senate and UFF representatives, to participate fully. Thank you for your comments.
