Professor Westley Reeves holds the Marcia Whitney Schott Eminent Scholar Chair in Rheumatoid Arthritis Research and serves as chief of the Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology.  His research focuses on the mechanisms of autoimmunity in systemic autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), polymyositis, and Sjogren’s syndrome.  His work is funded by three NIH grants, and he directs an NIH training grant.  Reeves serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Experimental Medicine; Molecular Biology Reports; Modern Rheumatology; Clinical Immunology; Autoantigens, Autoantibodies, Autoimmunity (co-editor); and Textbook of the Autoimmune Diseases (co-editor).  He serves as secretary/treasurer of IUIS/WHO/AF/CDC Antinuclear Antibody Standardization Committee. He also serves on several advisory panels, including the NIH Immunological Sciences Study Section; Medical and Scientific Committee and Board of Directors, Arthritis Foundation, Florida Chapter; and Program Committee, The Henry Kunkel Society.
