Dr. Joel Demski is an exemplary scholar, educator, and contributor to his profession. He is the author of five textbooks and 68 published refereed articles. He was recognized by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) with an award for outstanding contributions to accounting literature in 1967 and 1970. Dr. Demski was the American Accounting Association (AAA) designee for the Outstanding Educator Award in 1986. In addition, he received the AAA Seminal Contribution Award in 1994 and was inducted into the AAA Accounting Hall of Fame in 2002. Dr. Demski also served as the president of the AAA (2001-02).
