Professor Eric Wachsman is one of the world leaders in the study of solid oxide fuel cells. He is currently leading a center that involves seven faculty and more than 30 doctoral students. Wachsman is the principal organizer of the Florida Institute for Sustainable Energy, which was awarded $4.5 million this year as a State of Florida Center for Excellence.
