Scholarships
Community College Transfer Academic Scholarship (CCTAS)
UF will offer up to twenty CCTAS scholarships to the most qualified in-state community college transfer students admitted to UF each fall. The application form can be downloaded, and may be filled out and printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The scholarship application will not be accepted unless all the requested information is provided.
Scholarship recipients will receive a one-year scholarship with a minimum value of $250 and a maximum value of $1,000, with the exact amount awarded determined by student need as calculated by the UF Student Financial Affairs Office. (Note: to receive more than the minimum award, the student will have to submit a completed FAFSA form available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov).
Three of the twenty scholarships are reserved for students transferring to the upper division program at the New World School of the Arts. On these applications exceptional achievement and promise in the arts may substitute for the minimum 3.8 college GPA.
UF also offers one scholarship to transfer in-state community college students selected to the All Florida Academic A Team. The selected student will receive a two-year scholarship with a minimum value of $500 per year and a maximum value limited by the in-state tuition charge incurred by the student during the Fall and Spring terms in each year, with the exact amount awarded determined by student need as calculated by the UF Student Financial Affairs Office. (Note: to receive more than the minimum award, the student will have to submit a completed FAFSA form available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov). The same scholarship form and requirements mentioned above are used. Deadline for applying is June 15 each year for a scholarship award for the upcoming academic year.
Minority Community College Transfer Academic Scholarship (MCCTS)
The Minority Community College Transfer Scholarship is a competitive program for qualified Florida residents, which is awarded on the basis of financial need, academic merit, both need/merit, and other selected criteria. In addition to a variety of factors including academics, character of the applicant, and whether the applicant has been awarded any other scholarship aid, race will be considered. Deadline for applying is June 15 each year for a scholarship award for the upcoming academic year.
