Passport to Transfer - Travel Tip 1
Accessing UF's Internet Pages
Locating Information on the Internet
The University of Florida has invested heavily in providing information on the Internet that can assist you in preparing to transfer. The place to begin is on our COMMUNITY COLLEGE RELATIONS WEB SITE located at http://www.aa.ufl.edu/aa/ccrel. On this page, you can find a transfer scholarship application form and links to the UF home page and the Integrated Student Information System (ISIS). On the UF home page, you can locate all academic programs, all support programs, financial aid, housing and the entire UF Undergraduate Catalog. Please use this information early in your community college career so, at the time of transfer, you are prepared and are on track. If you are not on track for your intended UF major, you will not be admitted to the University of Florida.
WARNING:
You may wish to take courses at your community college that are "dual listed"; i.e., that your community college says count for either the A.A. or the A.S. degree. Please know that UF often categorizes those courses as "vocational" and will not accept them as part of your A.A. degree. If you plan to take such courses and wish to transfer to UF later, please contact the appropriate UF advisor and ask BEFORE you take dual listed courses. This does not refer to high school dual enrollment programs.
