LaCusia Washington is a native of Vidalia, LA. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Master of Arts in Counselor Education from Louisiana State University. LaCusia formerly interned in the Louisiana Governor's office. She has made presentations at national and regional conferences about programs impacting at-risk students at the University of Florida. She acted as Secretary of the UF Association of Black Faculty & Staff during the 1999-2000 school year. Since January 2000, she has been the principal Advisor for 2,547 students and is known by her advisees as effective and caring.
