  • Responsibilities:
    1. Ensure UF complies with all applicable provisions of the Animal Welfare Act and other Federal statutes and regulations relating to animals.
    2. Ensure individuals involved in care and use of laboratory animals understands individual and collective responsibilities for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
    3. Review, approve, reject, or require modification of those sections of applications or proposals involving the care or use of laboratory animals in teaching or research.
    4. Authorize suspension of research and teaching activities not in compliance with rules and regulations relating to care and use of laboratory animals.
