  • Appointment: By Provost; Nominations solicited by Committee and must meet the following: Federal Regulation Requirements, Experience with Recombinant DNA, Animal, plant, and human experts
  • Chair: Solicited by Committee
  • Responsibilities: A.) Review all proposals regarding recombinant DNA research conducted at or sponsored by the institution to insure compliance with the appropriate regulations and guidelines. B.) Establish and implement University policies that insure the safe conduct of recombinant DNA research. C.) Certify to research support agencies that personnel, facilities, procedures and practices have been reviewed and are in compliance with the appropriate regulations. D.) Create and maintain a central reference file and library of communications related to all aspects of recombinant DNA research.
